Industrial Action (Strike) By ASLEF and RMT Train Driver Union Members
All Arriva Trains Wales services are now operating as normal.
Information issued at 10.00, on 5 January 2016.
Please be aware that an indefinite duration train driver over-time ban remains in force which may impact some timetabled services until the dispute is resolved. Arriva Trains Wales deeply regrets any related disruption which is due to ASLEF’s failure to accept a generous offer from Arriva Trains Wales to improve Pay and Conditions for all our train driver employees.
Subscribing to our free JourneyCheck email alerting service can keep you informed of any disruption to your train journey. Click here for information www.arrivatrainswales.co.uk/check
For customers impacted by the drivers strike on 4 January information, including special ticket arrangements for customers to complete journeys on alternative dates, ticket acceptances with other rail operators and ticket refunds can be downloaded here and is also available from rail station ticket office staff. We continue to do all we can to avert any future industrial action and remain in regular, open contact with union representatives, stressing the urgency of the situation if further disruption to customers is to be avoided.
Once again, please accept our apologies for the recent disruption that this action by ASLEF and RMT may have caused to your journey plans.
